CLIFFORD JORDAN SWINGS LIKE A GATE!

Clifford Jordan is another Unsung Tenor sax player from the Hard Bop school of Jazz. I have plenty of his work ,especially as a sideman, ie; Lee Morgan early-60s Blue Note, and some of his experimental work on Strata East label from early-70s. Check out Clifford with the Mingus band featuring Eric Dolphy

Charles Mingus – Bass
Eric Dolphy – Alto Sax & Bass Clarinet
Clifford Jordan – Tenor Sax
Johnny Coles – Trumpet
Jaki Byard – Piano
